Barbara Walters had quite the diverse group of people to choose The Most Fascinating Person from this year.

There was Jennifer Lawrence, who is just a blessing when it comes to great quotes. New parents Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, who have reached a few milestones themselves this year. The cast of Duck Dynasty, who, well, got themselves into a bit of controversy recently.

And, of course, there's Miley Cyrus, who made headlines for absolutely everything—from her twerking and new music to her broken engagement and her hair.

But, Walters didn't choose any of these stars as The Most Fascinating Person of 2013. So who was it?!

It was Hillary Clinton. (Fun fact: Clinton was actually the first person selected when Barbara Walters began her series of specials 21 years ago, which makes Walter's choice for her last special that much more touching.)

The pair talked about the speculation and rumors that have been swirling for months over whether Clinton will make another run for the White House in 2016,  "I haven't made up my mind," Clinton told Walters in the ABC News special Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2013.

"Obviously, I will look carefully at what I think I can do and make that decision sometime next year."

For now, Clinton is enjoying being out of public office. "I knew that I wanted to get off this high wire that I had been on for so long," she said. "To spend time just doing things that give us a lot of joy, playing with our dogs, going to movies, just hanging out."
