Nice save, John Mayer (well, sort of).

The 36-year-old singer and girlfriend Katy Perry appeared on Good Morning America on Tuesday, Dec. 17, where the adorable couple debuted the music video for their duet "Who You Love," in addition to dishing on their hit single, which is featured on Mayer's latest album Paradise Valley.

And while the lovebirds first television interview together seemingly went well, there was one major oops thanks to Mayer, who apparently dropped an F-bomb, although luckily, he caught himself before many seemed to notice the embarrassing mishap (head to the 2:40 minute mark).

While speaking about being in the studio with Perry, who was recording her album Prism at the same time as Mayer, the "Gravity" crooner shared, "I come in the studio and she plays stuff and I go," he said, putting his hand over his mouth.

"And then I'll hear a melody, cause she'll be writing something, I'll hear a melody and I'll be like, 'Don't! Don't!' She was f--king..." he added before abruptly trailing off, realizing his error as Katy quickly interjects, coming to her man's rescue.

"Or he'll just pick up a guitar and play something," Perry said before Mayer continued, barely missing a beat.

"But I'll go, 'Come here, come here, come here, I sang this into my iPhone while you were in there, just check it out,'" he shared. "[And Katy says] 'Oh, I'll do that!' and I'm like 'OK, good, good good.'"

The singer certainly isn't the first celeb to drop an F-bomb live on morning television.

Even Tom Hanks slipped up during an appearance on GMA back in 2012, and let's not forget Steven Tyler, who greeted fans on the Today show with a warm welcome by saying "thanks for coming out, you crazy f--kers" last year.

Now, see why we said nice save?
