LeAnn Rimes brought Trace Adkins to tears at the 2013 American Country Awards—but it wasn't intentional!
In fact, Trace cried on camera because he was so impressed LeAnn's heartfelt Patsy Cline tribute. Chelsea Handler asked the ACM host why he was "crying like a little bitch" at the show, but Trace sassed the late-night host right back!
"I was not crying," he claimed at first. "Leann Rimes was out there singing and when she finished I looked around at all the stage crew guys—you now, total badasses, and everybody was crying. I'm just saying I wasn't the only one crying!"
The "Watch the World End" singer then gave the real reason behind his tears, saying, "I don't know, I just don't stand in somebody presence that can sing like that very. It just moved me."
Aww! LeAnn was emotional during her performance, too, but she distracted herself in an interesting way to keep from crying. "My guitar player, he's always giving me the tricks that work—always think about sex when you start to cry," she told Entertainment Weekly. "And I was thinking about sex a lot throughout the whole thing!" she candidly added.
"By the end of it, it was just such an emotional moment for me," she said. "I was like, 'I'm done. I can't do this.' I'm just going to cry now!"
