Ashley Tisdale has a lot going on right now.

The newly engaged singer stopped by E! News tonight to chat with Catt Sadler and Terrence Jenkins about her multiple projects, which, of course, includes planning her big, special day. And although the task can be quite strenuous and stressful, Tisdale doesn't have to do it alone.

"I have a wedding planner so that's a lot easier," she tells us. "I'm definitely a perfectionist, so I'm definitely involved with certain things that you'd think I'd be relaxed on. I just want it to be perfect."

The High School Musical star has also been busy recording new music, and recently released her new single "You're Always Here."

"It's actually about my grandfather who passed away in September. It was something that just kind of came organically. I would go on walks and just write down some lyrics—and didn't even think I was gonna make it into a song—but my fiancé [Christopher French] who produces music, actually sat down with me and we put it together," Tisdale explains.

"Part of the proceeds go to St. Jude's hospital. It's really  just for my grandfather. It's just something that I wanted to celebrate and it's been really hard so it's kind of helped me to get through it I guess."

As for working with her soon-to-be hubby, Ashley says, "It was great. I wouldn't have done it otherwise, just because it's such a personal song and he's really the one who's been going through it with me and understands me and really knew exactly what I wanted to do, and I think for him it was really just trying to help me get through what I was experiencing."
