Books, they aren't just for when you're in a women's prison locked down—or at home fantasizing about getting locked up.
No, as much as we spend our days binge-watching Netflix and then occasionally going out just to have something to Instagram…well, there are still books to read. So many, in fact, that it never hurts to get a little help picking out some of the year's best to zap to your Kindle or buy with your holiday money and physically pick up and read.
So, we'll leave to others to suggest the year's top novels or non-fiction tomes—The Gold Finch or Tenth of December?—but we will offer up our choices for the best entertainment and pop culture books we came across this year.
