Khloé Kardashian Odom and Lamar Odom's marriage is coming to an end.

The couple has been married for four years and has let the world bear witness to the many ups and downs of their relationship.

The E! reality star and her athlete hubby have been through everything from infertility issues to cheating rumors, and just about everything in between in a relatively short amount of time.

A source confirmed to E! News that that 29-year-old beauty was filing for divorce from Lamar later on Friday, Dec. 13.

And while the decision to call it quits was without a doubt a difficult one for the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, it looks like she's finally at peace with ending the marriage.

So was there one final straw that lead Khloé to sign on the dotted line or was it a perfect storm of events?

Let's take a look at what may have gone wrong between the Odoms:

Sept. 27, 2009: After a whirlwind courtship—they had only met a month prior—the couple tied the knot at a family friend's Beverly Hills estate. The two had announced their engagement to family members a mere five days earlier.

Dec. 18, 2009: The couple, popularly known by the nickname "Khlomar," purchases their marital home in Tarzana, Calif., for $3.95 million.

June 17, 2010: Lamar helps the Los Angeles Lakers go on to win the 2010 NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics.

July 17, 2011: Lamar is involved in a car accident in New York City while on his way from his cousin's funeral. The basketball star was not driving the car and escaped injuries. The SUV hit a 15-year-old pedestrian, however, who later succumbed to his injuries.

January 2012: Khloé reveals that she and her husband have been "trying very hard" to get pregnant with their first child. She also shares that was not "considering any type of fertility treatments" at that point in her life.

February 2012: After signing with the Dallas Mavericks, Lamar took time off to be by his father's side after a health scare. Joe Odom was reportedly battling an illness and was said to be in very serious condition.

March 2012: The first of the Khlomar split rumors hits newsstands and Khloé refuses to ignore the media speculation. She denied the allegations via Twitter and wrote, "It shows how sick people are."

April 2012: Lamar parts ways with the Mavericks after focusing on his father's health and running into a few issues with the team's owners.

Sept. 13, 2012: During an appearance on Good Morning America, Khloé explains that she was having "difficulties" getting pregnant and that "it's not as easy as you might think."

Sept. 27, 2012: Khloé and Lamar celebrate their three-year anniversary and she gushes about married life on her Twitter page. "I married my best friend and the love of my life...I still feel like a newlywed," she wrote. "I truly am the luckiest girl in the world and I count my blessings every single day."

Oct. 15, 2012: It's announced that Khloé signed on to join X Factor as a cohost with Mario Lopez.

Feb. 14, 2013: On Valentine's Day, Khloé shares a sweet picture of a bouquet of roses that she received from her husband. "When you love what you have, you have everything you need. You will forever be my always. He's precious," she wrote on Twitter.

April 22, 2013: Fox confirms that Khloé will not return for a second season of the hit singing competition show. Lopez, however, was re-signed to host the series by himself.

Aug. 27, 2013: More trouble looms for the seemingly happy couple. Despite reports that Lamar had gone missing, sources told E! News at the time that nothing could've been further from the truth. In fact, an insider told us that Lamar was with Khloé the entire time and that the two "have never spoken to a divorce attorney."

Aug. 30, 2013: Lamar is arrested for a DUI on a Los Angeles freeway and taken into custody on $15,000 bail. According to a report of Odom's arrest, he refused a chemical test and was arrested "for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs" without further incident.

Sept. 5, 2013: After checking into a treatment facility shortly after his arrest, Lamar checks out of rehab hours after checking in.

Sept. 27, 2013: The couple spend their four-year wedding anniversary apart, just days after Lamar breaks his silence since his DUI arrest on Twitter. The NBA star credits the Kardashian family for being there for him and called them "a blessing."

Nov. 22, 2013: A video surfaces on TMZ showing Lamar rapping about his career and wife. Widespread media speculation claims that he hints at cheating on Khloé when she is out of town.

Dec. 2, 2013: E! News learns that the two spent Thanksgiving apart and that Lamar is focused on his "imminent" career comeback.

Dec. 10, 2013: Both Khloé and Lamar attended the Jay Z concert in Los Angeles but reportedly kept their distance on different sides of Staples Center. The TV star watched the show with friends, while the athlete opted to sit with his father during the concert.

Considering the fact that Khloé and Lamar have not been seen in public together since Oct. 9, it's pretty clear that the two were working through some major issues for months before coming to the decision to split.
