Lindsay Lohan's parents are calling it quits.

After being on the outs with her husband Michael Lohan for months, Dina Lohan finally filed for divorce this week, following Michael's release from court-ordered rehab, Lindsay's rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, confirmed to E!

The former Rockette, who helps manage her daughter's career, cited "cruel and inhuman treatment" and "adultery" as reasons for the split.

"Dina believes for the good of her family and Michael's long-term goal of sobriety that the end of this marriage should happen quickly and painlessly," a rep told the New York Post.

The pair were married for some 19 years and produced three other children in addition to the Mean Girls star. Dina Lohan has full custody of Lindsay's sibs, who are all under 18.

Michael Lohan has attracted a slew of bad publicity in recent months for, among other things, punching a New York sanitation worker, skipping out on a pricey hotel bill and whacking his brother-in-law in the head with a shoe at a family gathering.

Dina Lohan took out a restraining order against her problematic partner last October, which he proceeded to violate twice.

After the second violation, when he showed up drunk and unannounced at the family home in Merrick, Long Island, he was arrested and held on $1 million bail.

A judge sentenced Michael Lohan to one month in rehab and five years' probation and forbade him to contact his daughter.

The judge's order may not even have been necessary--the Freaky Friday star had apparently already cut off communications with her dad, whom she refused to see during her multiday stay in a Los Angeles hospital this fall for a mysterious ailment described as "exhaustion."

Meanwhile, despite problems with her personal life, Lindsay's professional life is going strong.

She recently wrapped production on Disney's Herbie: Fully Loaded and has numerous pictures in the works, including Fashionistas and Gossip Girl, both due out in 2005, and I Dream of Jeannie, due in 2006.

Her debut album, Speak, is at number 31 on the Billboard 200 chart after peaking at number four.
