What do they all have in common? They entertained the hell out of us this year on the small screen. 2013 was a particularly amazing year for TV, with cables dramas such as Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones raising the bar in terms of storytelling and special effects, and Netflix becoming a major player in the TV game thanks to the breakout success of Orange Is the New Black and the return of Arrested Development, the beloved cult hit that was canceled way too soon.
Of course, networks were able to hold their own, with a major assist from Kerry Washington and her team of gladiators on Scandal, TV's buzziest show, and The Good Wife's stellar fifth season that has rejuvenated the series.
