We'll give you a few hints: He's handsome, he's talented and he has excellent taste in '80s movies. Prepare to swoon, fellow Bellas, because Skylar Astin is the newest actor joining the Fox comedy's star-studded season. And yes, we can hear your collective squeals of excitement.
Darren Criss revealed the aca-awesome news on Instagram today with a "#DramaticSelfie" featuring Criss, Astin and the always trouty-licious Chord Overstreet.
Criss captioned the photo writing, "Me, @ChordOverstreet & @SkylarAstin... And a #DramaticSelfie for you all." The actor added, "So glad to have our buddy Skylar on #Glee." Woo hoo!
The star of the new TBS comedy Ground Floor has remained a close friend of Glee's leading lady Lea Michele they starred in Broadway's Spring Awakening seven years ago. Unfortunately it looks like Astin and his bestie will not be sharing any scenes together because the triple-threat actor will be spending his time on the McKinley side of the show.
Details about this character are being kept very hush-hush, but we're sure that the powers-that-be at Glee will definitely give Astin his time to shine with a microphone in hand. We can't wait!
