Will Ferrell's got some serious live TV news competition from Steve Carell!

Following in the Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues star's footsteps, Steve made an appearance on Daybreak, a London morning TV show. But while Will (as Ron Burgundy) was seated in the anchor's chair, Steve (who plays Brick Tamland) hijacked his way onto the Dec. 11 weather forecast, taking meteorologist Laura Tobin by surprise!

Steve even offered Laura some words of advice before he joined her in front of the green screen. "Clear your mind," he said, "and think of anything but the weather!"

But after a few seconds of Laura talking about the fog, Steve couldn't help but intervene. "You're not doing this right," he deadpanned. "You're all over the place!"

With a little help from Laura, who couldn't help but giggle, Steve was able to interpret the weather symbol for fog. "Be careful of the fog," he deadpanned. "Lots of fog!"

When he was able to discern the symbol for partially sunny skies without any help from Laura, he quipped, "This is the hardest job in the world!"

Clearly, this meteorologist wasn't mad! "OMG I just did the weather with @SteveCarell aka 'Brick Tamland,'" she tweeted. "The best moment of any weather presenters career!"

Hours later, Laura hit Anchorman 2's premiere, and this time, she was in on it when she took a picture with Steve!
