Remember Victoria (Ashley Williams)? The mysterious girl who stole Ted's heart at a wedding in season one? Well, after nearly nine seasons of tracking her down, long-distance dating, stealing her away on her very own wedding day, and then finally deciding that she wasn't his perfect fit, Ted and Victoria will reunite in our final season of How I Met Your Mother.
E! News confirms that Williams will be back to reprise her role as the pint-size cupcake connoisseur in the CBS comedy's 19th episode—but we're really not sure if we're happy about it.
When we last saw Victoria in season eight, she broke up with our storytelling protagonist just minutes after Ted had popped the question. What was the problem, you ask? In a very Emily from Friends move, Victoria asked Ted to cut off all ties with Robin. Rude! Ted refused (because duh, he was still in love with Robin) and our seemingly picture-perfect couple was ripped apart yet again.
Details surrounding Williams' return are being kept very hush-hush, but we do know that the episode, which is scheduled to shoot this month, will not air until April. That means we have over four months to start speculating about what Victoria's return could mean for Ted's highly anticipated first meeting with The Mother. All we can say if Victoria delays our happy ending, we're going to give her our best impression of Lily's you're-dead-to-me look!
