InstagramCarrie Bradshaws collide! Sarah Jessica Parker, the O.G. Carrie Bradshaw, met AnnaSophia Robb, star of The CW's The Carrie Diaries, for the first at the Cosmo 100 power lunch in New York on Monday, Dec. 9.
Parker played Carrie Bradshaw for six seasons and two Sex and the City movies. Robb is currently in her second season of the SATC prequel series, The Carrie Diaries.
When Robb landed the fashion-forward gig, she revealed Parker sent her a letter. "[S]he wrote me a letter when I landed the role wishing me luck and said she knew it was in good hands. It was very comforting," Robb told Metro. But the Cosmo lunch was the first time the two met.
Cosmo shared a photo of the two Carries meeting on Twitter.
Robb has been making her way through meeting the Sex and the City cast and recently crossed paths with Cynthia Nixon at an event. However, Nixon didn't know who Robb was and had never seen The Carrie Diaries, according to Robb.
"I was at the counter, and I went, 'Oh, hi, I'm on the Carrie Diaries show. I'm a big fan. It was just kind of one of those New York run-ins," Robb told Vanity Fair. "She had no idea. Which is the best part."
The Carrie Diaries airs Friday at 8 p.m. on the CW.
