Phillips tells E! News, "La Toya and I are not, and did not get married."
Jackson tweeted, "Thank you all for your congratulations on what you thought was a marriage. It was a rumor. I'M NOT MARRIED!"
The couple released the following statement to clear the air as well.
"The rumors that La Toya Jackson married her longtime business partner Jeffre Phillips are completely false. The reporting outlet should be embarrassed for their mistake and at least make an effort to find facts to back up their story before reporting."
Radar first reported that Jackson had wed Phillips in Los Angeles on Friday, Dec. 6. The site also claimed that the bride's mother, Katherine Jackson, and her nephew, Prince, were among the family members in attendance at the intimate nuptials.
The two are the stars of their own reality show, Life With La Toya, on Oprah Winfrey's OWN network.
Jackson and Phillips met in 1999 while working on the film, Shriek If You Know What I Screamed Last Friday the Thirteenth.
They then co-founded an entertainment management and publishing company called Ja-Tail Enterprises.
Jackson has so far remained mum on her Twitter about the recent rumors, with her most recent tweet being, "An act of kindness is always appreciated."
