Until this weekend, Halle Berry hadn't been seen in public since early October. Two months after giving birth to son Maceo, the actress attended a live stage performance of The Lion King at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood on Saturday, Dec. 7. Joined by husband Olivier Martinez, 47, and daughter Nahla Aubry, 5, the new mom dressed her post-baby body in a cozy cape, a slouchy tee and curve-hugging pants.

Nahla fell asleep during the show, and on their way out, Martinez carried the sleeping tot to their car.

Berry, 47, was last seen having lunch with friends at Rivabella Ristorante in L.A. on Friday, Oct. 4. She welcomed a baby boy at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A. the next day and has been M.I.A. ever since.

The Oscar winner next reprises her role as Storm in X-Men: Days of Future Past, which hits theaters on May 23, 2014. Later that summer, she will star in a new CBS drama, Extant, about an astronaut trying to reconnect with her family after spending a year in outer space.

"I'm always on the lookout for amazing roles and when you see material that contains this strong of auspices, nuance and complexity it compels me to run toward it no matter the medium," Berry said of the show. "For five months a year I'll get to live with and play this incredibly intelligent and vulnerable woman, and for the remainder of the year I'll continue to look for other roles that move me as deeply as this one."
