Gravity and Her Tie for Los Angeles Film Critics' Best Film

Space drama starring Sandra Bullock and the romantic comedy weren't the only films that tied for an award Sunday

Two films took home top honors from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association this year.

Gravity and Her received the top nods from the organization Sunday, tying for its best film award.

The Sandra Bullock and George Clooney--starring film won the most prizes Sunday, also taking home best director for Alfonso Cuarón, best editing and best cinematography.

As far as the acting nods, Bruce Dern nabbed best actor for Nebraska, and two actresses tied for best actress--Cate Blanchett for Blue Jasmine and Adele Exarchopoulos for Blue Is the Warmest Color.

The best supporting actor category was also tied, with James Franco and Jared Leto both winning for their respective roles in Spring Breakers and Dallas Buyers Club.

And although Chiwetel Ejiofor lost out to Dern in the best actor category, Lupita Nyong'o received the supporting actress honor for 12 Years a Slave.

Meanwhile, Blue Is the Warmest Color won best foreign film and Sarah Polley's Stories We Tell won best documentary.

The awards will be handed out Jan. 11 in Los Angeles at the Intercontinental Hotel.
