Real Housewives of Atlanta's Porsha Williams and Kordell Stewart Are Officially Divorced

Reality TV star and former NFL player end their union after two years of marriage

For reality TV star Porsha Williams, the end of her marriage to Kordell Stewart just became a reality.

E! News has confirmed that the Real Housewives of Atlanta gal and the former Pittsburgh Steeler are officially back to being single.

In a statement sent to E! News regarding the divorce being finalized, Stewart's attorney says, "Kordell wishes to thank his family, friends and fans for their loving support and encouragement during these difficult days. He is grateful and thankful for your continued prayers for him and his family."

Williams, meanwhile, took to Instagram on Thursday, Dec. 5 and wrote,"Today is the 1st Day of the rest of my LIFE" #blessed #lovinglife #favored #free," along with a graphic that reads, "The future is exciting."

Stewart had filed for divorce against Williams back in March in Georgia's Fulton County Court. The papers, which were obtained by E! News at the time, stated that their marriage was "irretrievably broken."

Stewart also stated that the twosome had no marital assets and asked the court to let him keep his premarital and nonmarital income and assets.

"[Williams] is an able-bodied person, earning income and is capable of supporting herself," the petition noted.

Stewart and Wiliams tied the knot on May 21, 2011. They have no children together.
