Watch out, Prince Francis (Toby Regbo), your true feelings are showing!

Though Francis decided to completely severe his relationship with Mary (Adelaide Kane) in the last episode of Reign, it seems the next King of France isn't ready to give up on the Queen of Scots just yet. (Feel free to rejoice at any time, Mary and Francis shippers!)

We've got an exclusive sneak peek from tonight's episode of the CW's breakout hit, "Left Behind," which features Francis offering himself up as a hostage to a castle intruder in order to protect Mary...much to his mother Queen Catherine's (Megan Follows) chagrin!

When Count Vincent (Michael Aronov) of Italy takes over the castle in order to avenge his son's death, he refuses to accept their gold as repayment, which leads Catherine to suggest that he take Mary as his hostage, saying Scotland's queen "is still unmarried and a virgin. She could give you sons, royal sons."

Of course, Francis is so not OK with his mother's suggestion. "You want revenge, take it. Take me," he says. "Take me for ransom." And it seems the Count is definitely more interested in the young prince's offer.

And Francis' half-brother Bash (Torrance Coombs) could be poised to take his place on the throne as his mother Diane (Anna Walton) is working on having him legitimized and may actually succeed. "Circumstances change and suddenly there may be an opportunity for just that," Coombs recently told us. "It's interesting to see Bash really has to come to terms with does he really want that?"

He may not have a choice now!

Reign airs tonight at 9 p.m. on the CW.
