Now that he's back to host Saturday Night Live for a third go-round this weekend, Paul Rudd is ready to make some midnight memories, all right.

That's because he'll be joined by musical guest One Direction, news which he and SNL castmember Vanessa Bayer shared in a very hilarious series of promos that just hit the web.

In one clip, Rudd and the funny lady are so excited about the British boybanders gracing the show's stage, Bayer screams and holds a pillow to her face while the two can't resist channeling their inner tween.

"I just love the band One Direction!" says the comedian.

"The band? The band with the hot British guys?!" the comic actor replies, ticking off the names of 1D members Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne.

Naturally, it's Rudd's turn to freak out, jumping up and down hysterically like One Direction's 13-year-old female fans before running off camera.

""OMG One Direction!" he cries.

In another promo, Rudd claims to have forgotten Bayer's name and suggests a clever trick to help jog his memory. And yet another finds them giving viewers a thumbs up only to freeze in place for hours before SNL's crew leave them alone in the darkened studio.

Last but not least, when Vanessa asks Paul whether he did any research for his new comedy, Anchorman 2, Rudd gives a shoutout to a certain ABC newsman.

"That's between me and George Stephanopoulos," he quips.

Rudd and One Direction's stint on Saturday Night Live airs this Saturday, Dec. 7 at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.
