Brian, Family Guy

RIP, you nutty little pooch!

As the world mourns Family Guy's Brian, the beloved tell-it-like-it-is dog who was killed off in Sunday night's episode, it's time to look back on everything he taught us about how to do everything, everywhere, ever.

While some might look to the Dalai Lama, Buddha, Oprah or (our choice) The Mindy Project for inspiration, we now feel no need to look any further than Family Guy's furry little friend, who spewed jewels of life wisdom each and every week, and became a martyr for the modern era. OK, not really, but he did say some funny stuff.

Fans have been so outraged by his death that they've even launched petitions, but we're pretty sure Family Guy bosses Seth MacFarlane and Steve Callaghan have a master plan and cannot be swayed. Time will tell what it is!

Callaghan told us in an exclusive interview that they felt Brian's death was "a fun way to shake things up"...and the writers are "excited about the way this change will affect the family dynamics and the characters." Plus, they already have that new dog Vinny, played by Sopranos' Tony Sirico, whom Callaghan insists is "a good match for Stewie."

So, for now, our only recourse is to remember all the valuable life lessons Brian brought us.

Not sure how to lose weight, handle a lull in your sex life, or a pregnancy scare? Just ask yourself, What Would Brian Do?
