The Jean-Claude Van Damme comeback continues.

After earning plaudits for that "most epic of splits" he performed in a Volvo ad that went viral earlier this month, the 53-year-old action star is continuing to capitalize on his renewed popularity.

Van Damme is now teaming up with The O.C.'s Adam Brody to exercise his comedic chops in the upcoming film Welcome to the Jungle, the trailer for which is now in the wild.

In the comedy, the Muscles from Brussels plays Storm Rothchild, a crazy ex-Marine who takes a group of lackadaisical office workers on a motivational wilderness retreat on a remote tropical island.

Unfortunately when their pilot dies leaving the group stranded, their team building skills are put to the test when the erstwhile Hard Target loses his marbles and gets mauled by a tiger—though not before getting in a signature roundhouse kick for good measure.

As the situation devolves into a Lost-like scenario it's up to Brody's character Chris, the weakling among them and a former boy scout, to unleash his "inner beast" as the tagline for the movies goes and be the leader he was meant to be.

When Van Damme not grabbing headlines for his amazing feats of daring do, the legendary action man has been having a renaissance of late on the big screen.

After parodying himself to wide acclaim in 2008's aptly titled JCVD, he lent his voice to the character of Master Croc in the 2011 animated flick, Kung Fu Panda 2 and most recently played the villain in the box office hit, The Expendables 2.

Welcome to the Jungle costarring Kristen Schaal, Rob Huebel, Megan Boone and Denis Haysbert as the office drones' manager, will hit theaters and video on demand on Feb. 7.
