Liam Hemsworth is lucky to still have all 10 fingers.

While in London promoting Catching Fire a few weeks ago, the hunky Hunger Games actor admits he had a little too much to drink one night while at dinner with his costars and almost lost a pinky!

On last night's Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Hemsworth recounted the five finger fillet knife game, saying, "I missed a little bit."

"Zoom in on that," the 23-year-old said while holding up his injured pinky to show his black finger nail. "Can you see it? See that little black dot. That's where I hit it."

"We were in London," he explained. "That was the first stop we did on the Hunger Games press tour and I wanted to impress everyone. I'd had a couple of drinks."

"Apparently, it was a $10,000 table, too, that I ruined," he added.

When asked why he did the dangerous deed, Hemsworth dished, "I used to do it a lot in science class when I was in high school. I didn't love science, so I'd sit there in this class and use my pen to do this."

"You work your way up to a knife," he laughed. "You start with a pen."

Jimmy Fallon then proceeded to take out a Sharpie pen and challenged Hemsworth to another game of five finger fillet sans the knife. Hemsworth showed off his impressively fast skill before nicking the same injured pinky with the marker!

"I hit it again!" he exclaimed. "It's the same pinky. The same f--king one."
