Even the best of the best can get hurt sometimes, and that unfortunately was the case for downhill skier Lindsey Vonn.

Tiger Woods' love sustained some nasty injuries on Tuesday, Nov. 20, including "a mild strain to her right knee, a partial tear to her right ACL, minor facial abrasions and scapular contusions from her fall," her publicist told E! News in a statement.

The 29-year-old athlete was training for the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics, but will she be ready for Russia when the games begin in February? That depends. "She needs to rest for a few days and then will pursue aggressive physical therapy," her publicist said, "and [that] will determine the next time she is able to compete after seeing how she responds to the treatment."

In an interview earlier this year with USA Today Sports, Vonn admitted, she could be "a little bit reckless" both on and off the slopes.

"It's really rare that I'm afraid to do something. Usually people have to hold me back," she said.  "I like to do things fast. I drive a car too fast. I jet ski too fast. I'm pretty fearless all around."

She also made it clear, though, that the 2014 Winter Games are her top priority.  "I would love to win as many World Cups as possible," she said before the season began, "but my main focus is definitely on the Olympics."

"If I start off slow, it's fine," she said.  "I just want to make sure that by the time I get to Sochi that I'm 100 percent in those events."
