When it comes to fashion, Michelle Obama can do no wrong.

After all, whether she's wearing an elegant evening gown or chic cardigan set, the FLOTUS always know how to dress to impress.

But as we know, sometimes even the best of us can be our own worst critics.

According to the Huffington Post, in a recent interview on BET's "106 and Park", the elegant style icon went on the record and confessed that her biggest fashion regret was when she wore a pair of gray shorts while getting off of Air Force One in Arizona back in 2009.

Given that it was a hot summer day, we don't necessarily blame Obama for wearing functional cargo shorts, a simple tank, plaid button down shirt, baseball cap, and hiking sneakers…but it's certainly not the most stylish daytime ensemble we would have picked out for her.

"Sometimes I forget I'm the first lady and I'm running around in shorts," she reflected  of her fashion don't.

Thankfully, her fashion choices from there on out have only improved, and she's clearly been influencing her daughters with their wardrobe choices, too.

Just recently, Sasha Obama wore a playful unicorn sweater from Asos, one of Michelle's favorite retailers, while sitting courtside with her family at a basketball game, causing a surge in online sales almost immediately.

In no time at all, the 12-year-old's whimsical top was sold out and later the brand tweeted a note to their shoppers that they may not be restocking this popular piece again.

Word to the wise: If an Obama is wearing it, you better act fast!
