YouTubeDaniel Day-Lewis' son isn't following in his famous father's footsteps, but he isn't staying entirely out of the limelight either.
Gabe Day just released a music video for his single "Green Auras" which was produced by rapper J. Cole.
The 18-year-old touches on a variety of topics on the track, ranging from being bipolar, smoking marijuana and what it's like to be the son of one of Hollywood's most critically acclaimed actors.
"Call me Gabe Day and not Gabe Day-Lewis. Cause if you're trying to call me out, I'm going to Gabe Day-Lose It! I know what my name is and I know what fame is," he rapped. "Judging someone for their dad is just as bad as being racist."
He opens up the song by shouting, "You know what it is, bipolar stoop kid taking care of biz."
Gabe is shown smoking what appears to be a joint throughout the video as well and says, "self-medicated cause my heart and my throat hurt."
The New York native, who currently attends Sarah Lawrence College, also spoke about experimenting with drugs before his diagnosis.
"I find out that I'm bipolar, now I wear it like a badge," the actor's son sang. "I was on a bad path. I did too many drugs. Felt like coping on my own when all I needed was a hug. I had a bad trip, reevaluated my life. Thank god I survived ‘cause now it's easier to smile."
Gabe's grandfather would be proud of his rhyming skills, don't you think? After all, Cecil Day-Lewis was the Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom from 1968 until his passing in 1972.
Gabe's mother is famous French actress Isabelle Adjani, who dated Day-Lewis for six years before calling it quits in 1996.
