Nene Leakes

NeNe Leakes is on the mend.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star was hospitalized late last week, she wrote on her blog Tuesday, Nov. 19, when doctors discovered she had blood clots in her lungs.

The 45-year-old reality star first thanked her fans for all the prayers and well wishes sent her way in the wake of the cryptic "blessed to be alive" hospital pic tweet Monday.

She then revealed how she ended up there, explaining she "wasn't feeling well and was feeling a little short of breath" last week, so she went to the hospital to get checked out.

"I'm thankful to be alive as the doctor advised me that most people don't recognize the symptoms of blood clots and don't go to the doctor and that's when the big problems start happening," she wrote, clarifying, "Contrary to published reports I did not have a heart attack."

NeNe was "fortunate to have had a wonderful experience with the doctors and nurses" who took care of her, and now feels "blessed to be home with my wonderful Husband [Gregg Leakes] and family!" From the picture, you can see her granddaughter Bri'Asia is keeping her company.

And the Bravo star has even more support coming her way, including from former nemesis Sheree Whitfield. "I'll say a prayer for her and I'm hoping she makes a quick recovery," Sheree told E! News. "She's a fighter, so I know she'll be okay."

Kim Zolciak-Biermann also passed her well wishes on to NeNe, telling E! News, "My thoughts and prayers are with NeNe at this time. I know she will be back to her feisty self in no time."

Our thoughts and prayers are with NeNe as well.
