R. Kelly won't let anyone mess with Justin Bieber.

In an interview with E! News' Alicia Quarles, he dished about how his collaboration with the teen sensation came about and how he thinks the Biebs is handling all the media scrutiny.

"I love a few of the songs he did and he loves a few of the songs I did," he shared. "We decided we would do things together, sending things back and forth and now it's phenomenal."

When asked if he's been under more pressure than other artists, Kelly responded, "He's young with an old soul, so he can take it."

He added, "His struggle will determine his success. I ain't worried about him."

Kelly said the two star seemed had bonded over their past material and tried to figure out ways to work together.

"We've known each other for a minute. One time we sat in a hotel playing each other's songs for two hours," he told E!, and now we can hear the results.

The R&B star also worked with Lady Gaga for her single "Do What You Want" off of ARTPOP.

In fact, the two just performed a rather steamy rendition of the hit track during Saturday Night Live over the weekend.
