Well, Cameron Diaz did say Mrs. Hannigan "ain't nice."

After introducing her Annie character to fans on Twitter, the Shrek star furthered her point by frowning up her face and dumping trash out of her window on the set of Annie in New York City.

The actress stars as the mean supervisor of Annie's orphanage in the upcoming remake, alongside Quvenzhané Wallis, who plays the titular character and Jamie Foxx who co-stars as Benjamin Stacks (essentially a modernized Daddy Warbucks).

"I want you to meet someone. Her name is Ms.Hannigan. She ain't nice and she ain't pretty," Diaz tweeted Tuesday, along with a photo of herself dressed in character, rocking dark lips, big hoop earrings and several chain necklaces.

Speaking of Twitter, After joining the social networking site last week, Diaz had a bit of a love fest with Kate Upton, who wrote, "I am SO excited the most amazing person has FINALLY joined twitter!! @CameronDiaz."

Diaz soon replied "I miss you so much little lamb!" and added some heart emojis.

And it looks like the Annie star is not only enjoying her time on Twitter, but also in NYC.

According to the Daily Mail, she double dutched in high heels with a few kids on a school yard when she got a quick break on set Thursday.
