Johnny Depp pulled a fast one on Londoners Wednesday.
Whoever happened to be walking by an East End street on Wednesday may have been shocked to see the 50-year-old actor bouncing off the hood of a vintage Rolls Royce after the car sped down a cobblestone street and apparently struck him.
The dramatic sight was all staged—as he was filming a scene for his new action-comedy, Mortdecai.
No word whether Depp received any bumps or bruises from the stunt, but he certainly looked good performing it.
The Lone Ranger star has transformed himself once again for his latest role—this time dying his hair blond and donning a rather Dali-esque mustache to play the film's titular debonair art dealer, Charlie Mortdecai. He was dressed elegantly in a three-piece suit, pink shirt with a white collar and a blue tie along with a long black winter coat.
The crime caper, which began shooting last month in the U.K., follows Mordecai as he traverses the globe searching for a stolen painting rumored to contain a secret code that gains access to hidden Nazi gold (He may want to start here). Throughout the adventure, our hero uses his charm, wits, and handsome looks to evade an international terrorist, some very angry Russians, and the British secret service.
Mortdecai, which reunites Depp with filmmaker David Koepp, who directed him in 2004's Secret Window, costars Gwyneth Paltrow, Olivia Munn, Ewan McGregor and Paul Bettany.
It is also the first entry in what is hoped to be a series of movies based on author Kyril Bonfiglioli's The Mortdecai Trilogy and is expected to hit theaters later next year.
