Fergie ensured that husband Josh Duhamel, who turned 41 today and is enjoying his first birthday as a father, woke up to something precious.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!!!" she wrote on Instagram alongside an adorable (is there any other kind?) photo of their 2 1/2-month-old son Axl, his baby grin just screaming "cuddle me!"
After what was presumably a nice morning, Duhamel took advantage of the 80-degree L.A. weather and headed out for a round of golf.
He and Fergie have also been keeping busy lately checking on their ongoing home renovations and enjoying family time—but the couple have also made a point of getting out for regular date nights.
They lived it up (or more like deathed it up) over the pre-Halloween weekened, stepping out that Friday in Dia de Los Muertos-inspired outfits and then going as Elvira and Riff Raff from The Rocky Horror Picture Show to Kate Hudson's star-studded costume bash the following night.
And all the while, Duhamel has been loving fatherhood.
"He just smiled yesterday for the first time, but everything leading up to that was great," the doting dad told E! News on Oct. 17. "I just recommend it to anybody out there who hasn't done it."
Duhamel also told us, back in September when Axl was barely a month old, that he and Fergie were just "obsessed with him."
"We can't stop staring at him. He's our little man, we made him together. I think there's something you can't really describe until you go through it. I think any parents out there would understand that…It's just an incredible time for both of us."
Sounds as if Duhamel could be having his best birthday yet.
