Damme, the Muscles From Brussels has still got it.

Jean-Claude Van Damme shows that he's not at all expendable as far as impressive stunts are concerned in a new Volvo commercial for the Swedish carmaker's new Dynamic Steering feature that appears to be airing only overseas at the moment. (They always get the best commercials!)

The now 53-year-old star of martial arts-charged action flicks Death Warrant, Bloodsport, Double Impact and many more starts off by cutting a fine figure as he starts extolling the virtues of either his own time-defying physique or the reliability of Volvo trucks.

Or, perhaps both.

"I've had my ups and downs, my fair share of bumpy roads and heavy winds," Van Dammes' voiceover begins, Enya's "Only Time" playing in the background.

"That's what made me what I am today. Now I stand here before you, what you see is a body crafted to perfection, a pair of legs engineered to defy the laws of physiques and a mindset to master the most epic of splits."

All the while, the camera is panning back to reveal Van Damme perched atop two Volvo trucks, which slowly pull away from each other, taking one of the actor's legs with it.

Finished product: a shockingly epic horizontal splits.

Volvo flashes a message that this stunt was executed by "trained professionals in a closed-off area."

And presumably no groins were irreparably harmed in the making of this commercial.

"It's going to be quite unusual, and the first time we'll ever see anything like it—in a movie or a commercial," van Damme promised in a statement released by Volvo. "Before doing the split between the trucks, I saw the storyboard and thought it looked amazing. It's very majestic and very powerful."
