Charlie Sheen will own up to saying some outrageous things from time to time, but slamming Rob Ford is not one of them.

The Anger Management star took to Twitter (where else?!) today to deny a media report that claims he told the press the Toronto mayor should resign because his "struggles with substance abuse make him unfit to lead Canada's largest city," according to The Daily Currant, a satirical online newspaper.

"dear Mayor Rob Ford, the only truth or correct reporting in today's repulsive story regarding my alleged comments about you, is the accurate spelling of your great city," Sheen began.

"your personal life is and never would be, any of my business. I'm sorry for any grief this may have caused. if I can be of any assistance in any capacity in this media cesspool, please accept the noble offer of my steady hand and compassionate heart. respectfully, charlie sheen."

The Daily Currant, which again is a satirical take at the news, "reports" that Charlie has been in Toronto for the past two weeks shooting the sixth Scary Movie film and was caught outside his hotel by a reporter for La Presse newspaper.

When asked whether Ford should resign and enter treatment, the article claimed that Sheen responded, "Ah man, that's a tough question. I hate to pass judgement on anybody, especially given my history. But I've been seeing those videos on the news, and I think it's fair to say that Rob Ford parties too much. I can honestly tell you I've never been that high."

So that's not true. But what is true, however, is that Mayor Rob Ford has been in the spotlight recently for drug use. Ford admitted last week that he smoked crack cocaine last year, and during a heated City Council debate on Wednesday, Ford also confessed that he bought illegal drugs in the past two years. However, Ford refuses to step down from his job.
