As host of Survivor, Jeff Probst is all-too-familiar with the Philippines. After all, four seasons of the CBS show have been shot there.

So, it's not surprising that news of the havoc caused by Typhoon Haiyan hit him hard.

"Over the last two years I've spent nearly eight months in the Philippines," Probst tells Entertainment Weekly. "Some of the nicest, hardest working and most humble people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting."

He adds, "Seeing this devastation is truly heartbreaking. You feel simultaneously helpless to contribute in any significant way and grateful to be home safe and sound with your own family."

However, Probst and company are doing what they can to help.

"CBS is being very active in helping raise awareness and support," he says. "Survivor is also being very active in doing our own internal fundraising and I would imagine we will somehow involve the live reunion show as well."

Other famous faces are also lending a hand.

For instance, Jessica Alba and the Honest Company, her toxin-free natural household product company, made a generous donation to the victims through Operation USA.

Barbra Streisand and her foundation, The Streisand Foundation, are also pledging "a major monetary donation."

And folks like David Beckham, Katy Perry, Channing Tatum and more have sent out tweets encouraging people to donate to both UNICEF and the Red Cross.
