Tim Allen wasn't exactly chomping at the bit to make an appearance on Chelsea Lately.
The funnyman admitted to Chelsea Handler on Wednesday, Nov. 13, that the two actually bumped into each other a party and he needed some persuading before he decided to come on the show.
"I see her at this function," the 60-year-old comedian said, "and she said something nice, which is very rare. And then she said, 'I'd like you to come on the show.' So they asked, your people called and I said, 'Well...' Literally, I came up with an excuse."
But then he revealed that he had some anxiety about touching on a certain subject.
"I was afraid you would talk about my penis or some weird thing," the Last Man Standing star joked as the audience laughed. "I don't know what to expect. I've breezed through, watched this show but you never know what you're going to say. You literally don't!"
This is true, Tim! But this came as a shock to Chelsea.
"Why would I talk about your penis?" Handler quipped. "Why would I do that?"
