What do you get the friend who has everything?

Gal pals Lady Gaga and Donatella Versace have some interesting ideas when it comes to that topic.

Hot off the heels of Gaga's debut of her Artpop album, which features an entire song dedicated to and named after Donatella, it appears the fashion designer is returning the friendly flattery by asking the fashion forward singer to star in an upcoming campaign.

According to Women's Wear Daily, not only has Versace has tapped Mother Monster to front her spring 2014 ads, but the designer has already had fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott shoot the star.

The partnership doesn't come as too much as a surprise given the pair's friendship, as well as the fact that the two have already collaborated on past projects; Versace created the costumes for Gaga's Born This Way Ball tour, and even granted the Grammy winner exclusive access to her label's archives.

The singer's "Edge of Glory" video is sprinkled with vintage Versace and, of course, the 27-year-old made headlines last year when she stepped out in the brand's safety pin dress that Elizabeth Hurley first made famous in the ‘90s.

Plus, we can totall picture Gaga rocking the spring 2014 colection's assortment of mesh bandanas, chain harnesses and studded denim looks.
