Watch: Is Kelly Clarkson Ready for Babies?

Kelly Clarkson isn't afraid to admit she has babies on her brain!

The 31-year-old beauty, who recently said "I Do" to hubby Brandon Blackstock, opened up to E! News about her desire to have children, admitting she would like to get pregnant as soon as possible, particularly after experiencing the joy of becoming a stepmom to Blackstock's two children, Savannah and Seth, from his previous marriage.

"We definitely want kids," the American Idol alum gushed. "We already have two—12 and 6 years old, so they're awesome but we want more."

"Practice makes perfect!" she added with a smile.

So how's married life treating the newlyweds?

"Married life is good it's the same," she admitted. "Actually we've been living together for, like, over a year so nothing's changed."

Earlier this week, Clarkson made headlines when she appeared on the The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, where the late-night host boldly asked the blond beauty if she's pregnant, to which the original American Idol winner replied, "We are not announcing anything right now. We're not, no!" before admitting that she and Blackstock are having sex "like rabbits."

And it seems as though the singer is loving her new role as a stepmom, gushing over her hubby's two kids.

"They're so great," Clarkson raved. "I never wanted kids before, but now I want, like, five."

Last month, the lovebirds tied the knot in a small ceremony in Tennessee which saw only close family and friends in attendance. The couple originally planned on having a big wedding, but later decided to say "I Do" in a small affair while Clarkson was on a break from touring.

"We were gonna do the big thing. You can ask everybody I grew up with, I've never been the girl that wanted a big wedding. We kind of just started doing it for other people," she told Leno. "And then I was like, ‘You know what? My whole career, I do a lot of stuff for other people.' I'm like, ‘This should be my day.' And he's already been married once before, so I got to pick everything."
