Grant Hazell, a 35-year-old Australian police officer and father of two, has come forth to bring attention to an issue affecting at least one in two men: Grant Hazell is a Ryan Gosling lookalike.
And his Ryan Gosling-level hotness is affecting his day-to-day life. Oh, no.
The Perth cop told The Sun that he is constantly being stopped on the streets by women who mistake him for the actor, even claiming, "[One] told me she had seen all my movies and that she was in love with me.
"When I said I wasn't actually him, she didn't believe me. It was a surreal conversation," he continued.
Symptoms of looking like Ryan Gosling include a chiseled jawline, piercing blue eyes and looking "kind of like Ryan Gosling" while walking around a cemetery next to Eva Mendes.
Hazell allegedly "wasn't interested" in his celebrity doppelganger status at first but eventually came around, admitting, "He's a cool guy and a great actor. It's not a bad thing to look like one of Hollywood's most wanted men."
Now, according to ABC News, Hazell is "turning this gift from the genetic gods into a modeling career" as well as taking gigs from "an American celebrity lookalike company" at $800 a pop.
"I'm lucky that it comes quite naturally," Hazel says. "I frown a lot, which helps."
We don't think he even looks that much like Ryan Gosling, but he's Australian and he's hot so who cares?
