Blake Lively goes to Washington!

The 26-year-old actress was at the White House on Friday, Nov. 8, participating in a workshop for high school students from Washington D.C., New York and Boston.

The teenagers were visiting 1600 Pennsylvania Ave to learn more about what it is like to work in the movie industry and were treated to a star-studded panel, including writer-director Ryan Coogler, film mogul Harvey Weinstein, Whoopi Goldberg and the Gossip Girl star.

First lady Michelle Obama spoke at the event, which was held in the East Room.

Ryan Reynolds' wife looked chic for the occasion, wearing a formal black dress and styling her long locks in a ponytail.

Aside from her trip to the nation's capital, the starlet has been keeping busy and was named the new face for L'Oréal Paris last month. Several gorgeous black and white photographs from the campaign were recently released.

The blond bombshell will also be replacing Katherine Heigl in the upcoming film The Age of Adeline—her first movie role in over a year.

Lively hinted at being linked to the project in late September, when she told British Vogue in an interview, "It's something that will be launching in a few months and that I'm really, really thrilled about."

She continued, "The main element of it is that it's about storytelling and it's about living a very one-of-a-kind, curated life, and how to achieve that. There's nothing like it out there—it's without a genre."
