Before Ben Haggerty became the award-winning musical artist known as Macklemore, he battled alcohol and drug addiction. Macklemore first used drugs and alcohol at the age of 14 and he completed a stint in rehab several years later, only to start using again.
During these troubling times, fiancée Tricia Davis and her mother Diana helped him get his life back on track.
Now Macklemore wants to give back to Diana in the biggest and best way possible: a surprise home makeover!
In the hour-long E! special, Macklemore's Big Surprise, Macklemore has 72 hours to renovate Diana's home, indoors and out. With the help of Tricia and a handful of family and friends, the hip-hop genius is going to try and accomplish the impossible.
And as the show's title states, Macklemore has one surprise up his sleeve that will leave Diana speechless...
