"I think they should probably both be in therapy."
Isn't that how all great love stories should begin? No, just us? OK then, moving right along!
Though Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a cop comedy, there's definitely time for romance and this precinct has their very own will-they-or-won't-they pairing in Charles (Joe Lo Truglio) and Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz)! In an exclusive video, the two stars dish on the chances of a full-blown romance blossoming between their completely different characters on Fox's breakout sitcom. Plus, which iconic TV couple does Lo Truglio compare Charles and Rosa to?!
"That is the biggest question since Sam and Diane," Lo Truglio says when asked if Charles and Rosa will get together, which is promptly followed by shots of Rosa giving Charles multiple versions of her icy death glare.
And while it seems like a romance isn't in the cards for Charles any time soon, Lo Truglio admits he's "hoping" he and Rosa eventually get together. "It will be a win for those people all over the world who yearn for unrequited love." Come on, how do you say no to that?!
Well, when you believe both characters "should be in therapy," which Beatriz does, it might be a little easier to say no.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which stars Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher, was recently picked up for a full season by Fox, along with Seth MacFarlane's Dads.
"It's exciting to see that both critics and fans love Brooklyn Nine-Nine as much as we do," Fox president Kevin Reilly said in a statement. "With Andy and Andre out in front of this incredible ensemble, it feels like this show is going to be around for a long time."
Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs tonight at 8:30 p.m. on Fox.
