Drew Barrymore is expanding her brood. And this time around, she's letting the world in on it.

In an interview with People, the 38-year-old actress explained why she's finally going public about her new pregnancy after her rep confirmed to E! News exclusively on Monday that Barrymore is expecting baby No. 2.

"Last time I never commented on it and people just stalked me the entire time," Barrymore told the magazine. "So yes, it's happening, it's true. I tried to keep it a secret for as long as possible."

Barrymore also shared how ecstatic she was to get the news that she and husband Will Kopelman were about to make a big sister out of 13-month-old daughter Olive.

"When I found out I was overjoyed. It always feels so surreal, it's incredible," she said. "[I'm feeling] incredible, that 'Here we go again' feeling. And blessed. Blessed!"

Barrymore gave birth to Olive on Sept. 26, 2012, and in subsequent media appearances she has expressed how much she'd like to have a big family, especially because she grew up an only child.

So having another little angel in the house is just icing on the cake for the Charlie's Angels star.

"You're so lucky to get to do it. It's such a miracle. I just felt really lucky," she noted, though she was quick to add that Olive is the biggest beneficiary.

"Will is just thrilled—we both are—[because] we just wanted so badly for Olive to have a sibling," said Barrymore. "In some ways, it's really for her. So congratulations, Olive!"

The Flower Films mogul also revealed what's on the menu to satisfy those pregnancy cravings (Chinese food), and added that she's feeling "very, very happy" and "healthy—mentally and physically."

We wish her and her family all the best.
