Jennifer Aniston has chopped several inches off her hair (courtesy of longtime hairstylist Chris McMillan), and now we've got a look at the actress' dramatic makeover.
The star of We're the Millers stepped out for an appointment in L.A. on Monday, Nov. 4, unveiling her lopped-off locks for the very first time after getting the cut on Oct. 30.
"It's short! It's at my jawline and a little shorter in the back," Aniston, 44, told Pop Sugar. "I was just ready for a change. I was ready for something new, to get it out of my face, so I could have a bit of an easier go at it."
Aniston—who added that she usually keeps her hair "up in a scrunchie of some sort"—went into further detail about new while chatting with Elle UK. "It wasn't for a role. My hair went through a phase—I did this thing called a Brazilian and my hair did not react really well to it," she explained. "It's about 2-inches above my shoulders now."
McMillan—who's also tamed the tresses of Miley Cyrus, Freida Pinto and Paris Hilton—recently gave Jane Krakowski a chic bob haircut just before the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Sept. 22.
Aniston, meanwhile, isn't entirely sold on her latest look. "The minute I cut my hair I want it back. Always. It's a guarantee," she told Elle UK. "I'm trying really hard to love this one."
Of course, this isn't the first time the movie star has rocked a bob. In 2001, she told McMillan she "wanted a different look"—and he delivered!
"I'm always inspired by iconic women—anyone from Mia Farrow and Julie Christie to Brigitte Bardot and Peggy Moffitt. Faye Dunaway's hairstyle in Bonnie and Clyde was the inspiration for Jen's bob," McMillan told Elle in 2009. "It was fun—you know, she likes to chop her hair off about every five years. We'll even her hair up and lop off a few inches."
