As Katie Couric pointed out, you don't necessarily think of Tiger Woods as "dorky."
But that's how his girlfriend, Lindsey Vonn, chose to describe him to Couric in her sit-down for Katie, airing Tuesday.
Of course, the skier had other things to say about Woods as well...
"He's funny," Vonn said of her golf champion beau as photos of the couple flashed onscreen. "He's really laid-back. He's a great guy. He's always making jokes. Very competitive, just like me."
"We have very similar personalities," she added. "But yeah, if there's one thing I could say...He's funny. He's goofy, like dorky-goofy."
As Couric expressed her disbelief, Vonn agreed that some might find that hard to believe.
"He's probably not going to be that excited that I just said that," the blond beauty said, smiling.
After about eight months of dating in the public eye, Vonn and Woods seem to be getting on quite well. Such kind words jive with what Vonn told David Letterman last week, saying on the Late Show that the two of them "relate really well to one another."
"He's a grinder. He works extremely hard, and he's obviously also had an ACL injury as well and had the same surgery, so he knew what I was going through," Vonn said, discussing her imminent comeback after suffering a torn ACL and MCL and undergoing knee surgery.
Woods "said just be patient, keep working hard, and everything is going to turn around. It really helped me get through it."
