Breaking Bad is over, but at least Community is doing its part to keep the love alive.

Vince Gilligan, the creator and mastermind behind Breaking Bad, will make his acting debut and guest star on the NBC comedy, E! News has confirmed

According to EW.com, who first reported the casting, Gilligan will play a smooth-taking gold digger who gets involved in a fight happening between Annie (Alison Brie) and Abed (Danny Pudi). Instead of calming the duo down, his character will actually fan the flames of their argument. Maybe so much so that one of the will break bad? Get it? See what we did there?

But wait, Community isn't stopping there with the Breaking Bad connection! As previously announced, Jonathan Banks, aka Mike the hit man with a heart of gold, has been cast as a criminology professor in season five. He's scheduled to appear in 11 episodes, but (spoiler alert?) only if Walter (Bryan Cranston) manages to not shoot him dead like last time.

Elsewhere in Breaking Bad alum land: we exclusively revealed this morning that Anna Gunn will guest star on The Mindy Project as an OBGYN that will try and woo Mindy (Mindy Kaling) to her practice.

Community's fifth season will (finally) premiere on Jan. 2 on NBC.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
