When The New York Post's Page Six reported that the movie star bumped into the pop singer at New York City's 1Oak nightclub on Saturday, Oct. 26, it also linked LiLo to the Ralph Lauren model. The gossip column claimed O'Connor "also looked like he hit it off with Miley."
However, E! News has learned exclusively that there is no romance brewing between Lohan, 27, and O'Connor, 18. "Lindsay thinks he's a sweet kid," her rep says.
The purported love triangle was so titillating that Vanity Fair even wrote a small profile on O'Connor. Alas, all three parties remain single. (Cyrus broke up with fiancé Liam Hemsworth in September.)
In a previously published Seventeen article, O'Connor revealed that he likes girls who are "elegant, spontaneous and can do their own thing." Perhaps there's hope for him with Lohan and Cyrus yet!
The Page Six article was wrong about other details, too, according to a source. The gossip column reported that Lohan and Cyrus "stayed till just after 5 a.m." and even left together. However, as E! News confirmed on Tuesday, Oct. 29, the former Disney stars exited the hotspot separately around 3 a.m.
"They did not come in together," a source said of Lohan and Cyrus, noting that they have mutual friends in common. "When Lindsay saw Miley, she went over to her table and started chatting to her. They were in great happy moods and enjoying the music."
Both stars abstained from drinking alcohol while at the nightclub.
