As her latest monster mash, Van Helsing, was topping the box office this weekend, Kate Beckinsale's was wrapping up another big production.

On Sunday, Beckinsale tied the knot with her beau, Underworld director Len Wiseman, at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, confirmed her publicist.

The bride wore Vera Wang and a smile, but no one bothered to note what type of penguin suit the groom wore. A small gathering of family and friends, including Underworld costar Scott Speedman, helped the happy couple celebrate.

Beckinsale and Wiseman, who met on the set of 2003's sci-fi fantasy flick Underworld, announced their engagement last June.

That was just two months after Beckinsale's official breakup with longtime lover Michael Sheen. Their seven-year union produced a daughter, five-year-old Lily, but the duo never married.

The 29-year-old Serendipity star, who recently underwent an emergency appendectomy, purportedly spent Friday night with friends at the Sunset Strip's Chateau Marmont, where she celebrated her last night out as a single woman.

There has been no word on where the Tinseltown twosome plan to spend their honeymoon, but it's likely to be a quick one, since the newly minted couple is in preproduction on an Underworld sequel. At least three movies are expected in the vampire vs. werewolf franchise.

Beckinsale, whose credits also include Pearl Harbor, Brokedown Palace and The Last Days of Disco, recently wrapped filming of Martin Scorsese's Howard Hughes biopic The Aviator, opposite Leonardo DiCaprio. The film is due out in December.

And just in case that wasn't enough, Beckinsale was recently tapped as the pitchperson for a new series of Diet Coke ads coming soon to your TV screen.
