Morena Baccarin is a mom!

The Homeland actress and her husband, Austin Chick, welcomed a baby boy on Tuesday, Oct. 22, in Glendale, Calif, her rep confirmed to E! News. People were first to report the story.

The couple's first child, Julius, weighed in just under eight pounds.

"Julius and his mother are happy and healthy," her rep told the mag.

And even though baby Julius was breech, the Emmy-nominated actress was still able to deliver her son naturally, with the aid of Dr. Ronald Wu. He is the only doctor in the Los Angeles area who will give expectant mothers the option to birth a breech baby in a hospital.

"I'm so happy I was able to deliver with Dr. Wu," the 34-year-old said. "Breech delivery is a dying art and he gave me the birth experience I wanted."

Baccarin recently told E! News that her pregnancy was "really easy" and dished that her biggest craving has been fruity.

"I always like it, but I could literally sit and eat an entire watermelon," Baccarin said. "I haven't, but I've had to stop myself."

Baccarin first announced her pregnancy in May. The Brazilian-born beauty and Chick tied the knot in November 2011.

Congrats to the new family!
