Peter/NPG.comMichael Morris is in the doghouse with his wife Mary McCormack after a slew of incriminating photos showed the Smash director making out with TV star Katharine McPhee over the weekend. According to The New York Post's Page Six, Morris knew that the pictures were being shopped around and even tried to purchase them himself before TMZ outbid him.
"Mary threw Michael out of the house on Sunday night when he told her that TMZ had the photos and that they were about to be released," a source told the gossip column. Reps for the two did not return requests for comment when contacted by Page Six. Married to McCormack since 2003, Morris is father to daughters Margaret, 9, Rose, 6, and Lillian, 2.
McPhee, meanwhile, tied the knot with producer Nick Cokas in 2008. According to Life & Style, however, the singer/actress and her hubby separated six months ago. They have no children together. Reps for McPhee and Cokas also did not return requests for comment.
It's been a rough month for McCormack, as her NBC comedy Welcome to the Famiy was recently canceled. "I'll much miss great actor, friend and tvwife .@marycmccormack," costar Mike O'Malley tweeted Oct. 18. "Wanted to work w/ her for years."
