Tonight's episode of Dancing With the Stars featured a brand-new, never-been-done-before event called "The Switch-Up Challenge." Sounds pretty fancy, huh?
Basically it was a new spin on a dance marathon as our couples competed side-by-side in two rounds without any prior knowledge of the dance style or musical accompaniment. (Side-Note: Who else thought of Gilmore Girls when they heard the term dnace marathon? Anyone?!)
However at the end of the night, each of our couples suffered through the grueling competition within a competition only to be faced with yet another challenge: the dreaded weekly elimination.
And this week, the celebrity that is going home is…
No one!
That's right, everyone is safe this week! How is that possible, you ask? According to the DWTS powers-that-be, there were some major problems with the voting polls last week.
The official Dancing With the Stars twitter account briefly explained the problem in a tweet last Monday saying, "There were technical difficulties with posting the voting numbers during the East Coast broadcast, we are reviewing the data and will determine the best course of action. The errors were fixed for both mountain and west coast broadcasts - so if you're in those time zones - CONTINUE TO VOTE!"
Host Tom Bergeron revealed that all of last week's votes have been discarded and tonight's judges' scores will continue over to next week. This all eight remaining couples will continue their dancing journey for another week, but now we could be faced with a dreaded double elimination.
