Moments later, a Twitter user accused the blond star of wearing hair extensions in the pretty pic. Never one to mince her words, Cavallari snapped back, "I haven't had extensions in years actually."
The online exchange occurred prior to the Chicago Bears game against the Washington Redskins, during which Cavallari's quarterback husband Jay Cutler sustained a serious groin injury. Yet again, the Hills hottie was forced to defend herself on the social networking site.
"Husband gets seriously hurt. @KristinCav tweets about not having hair extensions," a Twitter user wrote. Cavallari's response? "I tweeted that BEFORE he got hurt. Blocked."
The TV personality then explained why she felt compelled to stand up for herself online. "I know it seems like I only respond to haters," she tweeted, "but they drive me crazy when they have NO clue what they are talking about."
The Bears suffered a 45-41 loss to the Redskins. Cutler's MRI results are expected Monday, Oct. 21. If his groin injury is severe, he could be sidelined for the majority of the remaining 10 weeks of the season.
