On Saturday, Oct. 19, the 20-year-old "Wrecking Ball" singer shared a snap of herself wearing a red swimsuit with a plunging neckline. Wearing gold chains with "M" and "Doll" hanging on her neck, Miley held a drink in one hand as she sat upright by the edge of the pool. "God bless october in L.A.," she wrote.
Yes, you California kids are lucky with the weather, but Miley would probably find a way to show a little skin even in less than idyllic temps. The Southern superstar knows, clearly, that her provocative pics keep us talking, and regardless of what's being said, it's generating buzz for her Bangerz album.
Earlier this month on Today, Matt Lauer asked Miley if she was "surprised" by the amount of attention she's been getting. Her answer? "Not really…I mean, it's kind of what I want."
"I'm an artist, " she clarified, "so I'm hoping that I get a little attention or my record sales might be a little sketch."
And, truth be told, the twerking and Terry Richardson photo shoot and frequent scantily-clad selfies didn't exactly hurt Bangerz. The album, released Oct. 15 , debuted at No. 1 on Billboard and iTunes.
Miley's music might even get another surge in popularity when she performs at the 2013 MTV EMAs in Amsterdam. The dust is only finally settling on her 2013 MTV VMA twerkfest, but something tells us she might try and top herself.
The 2013 EMAs air in the United States on Nov. 10—after Halloween, sadly. Then again, if you're looking to dress up like Miley girl, she's really already given you lots of costume ideas to werk with.
